Xbox Cloud Gaming Now Available on LG TVs with webOS 24 and Newer

April 24, 2025 — Redmond, WA — Microsoft is expanding its Xbox Cloud Gaming experience to LG Smart TVs, following a successful rollout on Samsung televisions. Starting today, owners of LG TVs running webOS 24 or later can download the Xbox app and stream games directly—no console required.

This move is part of Microsoft’s ongoing effort to bring Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to more screens, making high-quality gaming more accessible through the cloud.

Compatible LG TV Models and How to Access

The Xbox app is compatible with:

  • 2022 LG OLED TVs

  • 2023 LG Smart TVs (with firmware upgrade)

  • New LG models launched since then that support webOS 24 or newer

To start playing:

  • Navigate to the LG Gaming Portal via the Gaming Q-Card or Home Page

  • Download and open the Xbox app

  • Sign into your Microsoft account

  • Connect a Bluetooth-enabled controller (Xbox, DualSense, DualShock 4, and more)

  • Launch a game from your Game Pass Ultimate library

  • This update enables instant game streaming without requiring an Xbox console or PC—just a Game Pass Ultimate subscription and a compatible Bluetooth controller.
