US President Donald Trump struggled to say "Let's Make America Great Again (MAGA)" in Spanish, as he appeared on a Spanish-language show of Fox News , where anchor Rachel Campos-Duffy tried to teach him the Spanish translation of the phrase.
"Mr. President, I'd like to teach you how to say Let's Make America Great Again in Spanish," Campos-Duffy said on the Fox Noticias show, as Trump looked on.
She then went on to say the Spanish translation of MAGA, after which Trump replied, "América grande otra vez!"
Sean Duffy, the husband of Campos-Duffy, serves as the secretary of transportation in the Trump administration.
This was Trump's first interview since his announcement of sweeping global tariffs, which he then paused for 90 days. The interview will air in two parts - the first part aired on Tuesday, while the second one will be broadcast online and on FOX Deportes, at 4 pm Eastern Time on Wednesday.
The interview comes as legal challenges mount over the Trump administration's wrongful deportation of a Maryland man to El Salvador, a Spanish-speaking country in central America, a sub-region of North America.
Fox Noticias, an hour-long Spanish-language programme, was launched late last year.
