NEW DELHI: A case has been registered on Friday against Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda , along with director Gopichand Malineni and producer Naveen Yerneni , over allegations of hurting religious sentiments through their film 'Jaat'.
The case has been filed under Section 299 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Jalandhar's Sadar police station.
According to the complaint, a scene in the film allegedly resembles the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, which the complainant claims has offended the sentiments of the Christian community.
Jaat, starring Sunny Deol, was released on April 10. Shortly after its release, Deol announced a sequel, unveiling the poster for Jaat 2 on Instagram.
