Williams driver Alex Albon mistakenly left his cell phone behind at a press conference in Jeddah and later found out that his fellow F1 drivers had taken advantage of it. They clicked selfies using the phone, which Albon posted on his X account as well as his Instagram Stories, along with a candid caption: “911 I’d like to report a robbery.”

They took part in the press conference on Thursday ahead of the first two free practice sessions scheduled for Friday. One of the selfies shows Red Bull’s Max Verstappen with Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, while another shows Verstappen with Isack Hadjar of Racing Bulls.

As Albon shared the two pictures from his phone on X, Formula 1 fans were elated to see the drivers chilling together. A fan called it the, “Best robbery of all times.” Another said, “Ah yes thank you for reporting this evidence.” One more commented, “Max release the salacious George photos please. It's a folder in Albon's phone. Many are asking.” A fan also asked, “How you gonna call 911 without a phone Alex.” A sarcastic comment also read: “€10,000 penalty for each of them.” “Omg this is gold,” reacted an X user.

This season, Albon finished fifth at the rain-hit Australian Grand Prix. He ranked seventh at the Chinese Grand Prix after Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were disqualified. He came ninth in Japan but dropped to 12th position at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Verstappen is still waiting for Red Bull’s balance and tyre issues to be resolved. A three-step improvement process is being introduced in Jeddah to make things easier for him. On the other hand, Aston Martin’s Alonso is struggling this season as he continues to complain about a lack of pace. Racing Bulls rookie Isack Hadjar is slowly learning race by race; he has gained 4 points so far.

They are now competing in Jeddah. Following the two free practice sessions on Friday, the third free practice session and the qualifying race are scheduled for Saturday, with the main race set for Sunday.
