Koraput: Train services were briefly disrupted between Lelliguma and Rauli railway stations in Rayagada district on Saturday due to an overhead equipment (OHE). The problem was reported around 6.45 am affecting the Rourkela-Jagdalpur and Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur express trains.
"The Intercity Express from Rourkela was on its way to Jagdalpur. As it approached Lelliguma in Kashipur block of Rayagada district, the OHE was disturbed, which led to the train being halted between Lelliguma and Rauli stations," a senior railway official said.
A technical team was quickly sent to the site and the issue was fixed by 8.50 am. Only the Hirakhand Express was delayed by nearly two-and-a-half hours. Services resumed soon after and the route is now operating normally, the official said.
