Celebrated director Guillermo Del Toro's epic take on Frankenstein, which has been adapted from Mary Shelley's original 1818 novel, is now available to stream on Netflix. Frankenstein began a limited theatrical release on October 17, 2025, and has already opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
A classic of the gothic genre, Frankenstein is widely considered to be the first ever science fiction novel and tells the story of a self-centred inventor who creates a new lifeform out of different body parts from various corpses.
The synopsis for 2025's Frankenstein reads: "A brilliant but egotistical scientist brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation."
The movie boasts a star-studded cast, with actors from huge films like Dune, All Quiet on the Western Front and Harry Potter. TV fans will also recognise the cast from shows like Euphoria, Game of Thrones and The Witcher.
Without further ado, let's take a closer look at the cast of Netflix's Frankenstein and where you may have seen them before.
