Strictly Come Dancing professional, Lauren Oakley, struggled to hold back tears during an emotional interview with her celebrity dance partner, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The dynamic duo was eliminated from the BBC dance competition on Sunday night (October 26) after finding themselves in the dreaded dance-off against Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin. On Monday (October 27), the pair made one final appearance on the spin-off show It Takes Two, where they comforted each other through their final interview.

In the TV interview, pro dancer Lauren was overcome with emotion after watching a video message from the former Chelsea footballer's wife, Natalie, and their three daughters. She gushed: "We're so proud of you and your Strictly journey - you've blown us away every week."

His eldest daughter, Lauren, added: "We're so proud of what you've accomplished and that you've started from scratch. We can't wait to keep dancing with you."

Meanwhile, his daughter Miah chimed in with: "Thank you Daddy for stepping out of your comfort zone for us - you're absolutely amazing," as his youngest daughter Khloe added: "Well done, Daddy."

After finishing the message, Natalie shared a personal message to Lauren, saying, "Lauren, thank you for bringing out this new and fun side of Jimmy." Viewers watched as the moving tribute left Lauren in floods of tears, confessing that the message had completely opened the floodgates.

As she dabbed her face with a tissue, she admitted: "It's setting me off already," as Jimmy added: "That was emotional. They are really happy; they have been so supportive. Obviously, they were very sad after Saturday but very proud. It's family time, it's bringing everybody together, and to see them and to see that message, I've got no words."

The former professional footballer, 53, and his dance partner performed the American Smooth to Prince's number one hit single, Purple Rain, for Icons week. Despite finding themselves in the middle of the leaderboard, they landed in the bottom two alongside Amber and Nikita.

Jimmy and Lauren's American Smooth clocked an impressive 30 points out of 40, while Amber and Nikita bagged 33 points for their Cha Cha to Ariana Grande's single, Break Free.

Before taking to the stage for his exit routine with Lauren, Jimmy gushed over his dance partner and his time on the show, which he described as an "experience of a lifetime." He told host Tess Daly: "I've absolutely loved it.

"I can only say thank you very much for having this experience. My daughter pushed me to come here and do this. I never expected that I'd enjoy it this much. This experience is going to live with me forever. More importantly, this girl [Lauren]-she's a diamond. Thank you very much. You've been absolutely amazing with me."
