shared a photo of herself planting a tender kiss on her dog Teddy, as she revealed that the next few days will be "crucial". The star voiced her fears that he may never "fully recover", after receiving surgery for an inherited health condition.

She opened up to more than six million Instagram followers this evening (Saturday 19 April) as she sighed: "Our darling Teddy. Teddy became suddenly unwell on Thursday. It turns out he has a predisposed condition we had no idea about as he was a rescue. He has been operated on by incredible vets and the next 3-4 days are crucial for him to get through, [but] even then, he might not ever fully recover."

She continued: "We are praying and hoping so hard that he pulls through & that we can care for him in the best way we possibly can to give him the best life he can have.

"We are all truly devastated. He is the sweetest, most protective, loving dog. He's our family. And far too young to be going through this," she lamented with a tearful emoji.

"We love you Ted. So so much. Pickle Cottage is far too quiet without you. I miss my toilet buddy. Peanut is so sad without his best friend."

A string of the panellist's celebrity friends wrote to express their support, including co-star who told her: "So sorry to hear this Stacey Sending all the positive thoughts I have for Teddy. Love to you all."

Ex-Love Islander Maura Higgins chimed in to add that she was "so, so sorry".

Fans shared in sending "PAWsitive vibes" to her beloved pet, with one writing: "Come on teddy fight hard, you have the best family waiting for you!"

Stacey responded with an Instagram post urging followers again to pray for her dog over the Easter weekend.

It comes just days after the TV star confirmed how important every family member is to her, writing: "Realised yesterday I've been a mother for half of my whole life. It's my biggest achievement. My proudest accomplishment!"
