
Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg has made a new appearance, debuting her baby bump just daysThe Luxembourgish royal joined the rest of her family on Sunday, as they attended the closing ceremony of the Octave Celebrations.
The Octave, or Oktav, is one of the oldest annual religious celebrations in Luxembourg honouring Our Lady of Luxembourg. Alexandra looked stylish in a grey and lilac dress with a colour-matching jacket, which showcased her growing bump.
In photographs shared by the Grand Ducale Court, she was seen standing next to her family as they shielded themselves from the rain with umbrellas.
A statement read: "This Sunday afternoon, the Grand Ducal Family took part in the procession closing the Octave celebrations, which included groups of numerous pilgrims, worshippers, and members of associations.
"At the end of the procession, the Grand Ducal Family greeted the public from the balcony of the Palace."
Aside from Alexandra, various other royals were seen on the balcony of the Grand Ducal Palace, including Grand Duke Henri and Hereditary Duke Guillaume.
Three days earlier, Alexandra's parents, Henri and Maria Teresa, issued a statement announcing the joyoys news.
It read: "Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess have the great pleasure of announcing that Princess Alexandra and Mister Nicolas Bagory are expecting their second child."
The baby's arrival is expected "in the autumn".
Alexandra, who is the fourth and only daughter of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, is eighth in the line of succession to the Luxembourgish throne.
She currently lives with her husband and daughter in France and works as a professional linguist.
