Katie Price has opened up about why she never went to the police after she was allegedly raped by a well-known celebrity she claims raped her, days after she shocked a live audience by publicly naming him for the first time. The TV star, 46, made the revelation during her live show An Evening with Katie Price and Kerry Katona, where she identified the British TV personality she says attacked her in her early years of fame.
According to audience members, gasps filled the theatre as she "blurted out" the man's name on stage, bringing an end to years of speculation about the incident. Katie, who had previously vowed never to name her alleged attacker, told the crowd: "He raped me, and when it came out, all my friends said I had to go to the police, but I did not go to the police because I did not want to get involved with it all."
The former glamour model has long referenced the assault but never before opened up this much. She referenced the incident previously in Bradford, Stockport, and Grimsby, before naming the man during a show in Scarborough this week.
Those in attendance said the moment stunned the room, with one fan telling The Sun: "Everyone was shocked. People felt really sorry for her. It was difficult to hear that, and it will have touched people who have been through similar horrific situations themselves."
Witnesses described the crowd's reaction as one of "complete silence and disbelief" before murmurs spread through the audience. Another said the revelation was "the talk of the interval," adding that "the man she named is so well-known, nobody could believe it."
Katie has previously claimed the alleged incident happened around two decades ago, when she was still establishing her fame. She first wrote about it in her 2009 OK! Magazine column, revealing she had been "raped more than once" when she was younger.

At the time, she insisted she would never reveal the person's identity, saying she didn't want to create "drama" or deal with the fallout. In 2012, she again reaffirmed her decision to keep his name private, telling fans she believed the man didn't even realise she had ever spoken about it.
A source close to Katie said her decision to speak out publicly was fuelled by the MeToo movement, which encouraged her to take ownership of her story. They told The Sun: "Katie thinks she has nothing to lose. After all the MeToo stuff, she thinks if other people have revealed their sex attackers, why can't I?" they told
Surrey Police confirmed that an incident involving Katie was logged in 2012, but said there was not enough information to proceed. A spokesperson explained: "While we treat all reports of sexual offences with the utmost seriousness and provide specialist support, we require the cooperation of the complainant to officially record a crime."
The force added that their inquiries revealed "insufficient substantiated details," including specific locations and dates, to move the case forward.
