Viewers of The 1% Club were left fuming after host Lee Mack made a cheeky jibe to one contestant during Saturday night's show.
During the ITV programme, Dianne wast eliminated after failing to answer one question correctly.
Curious, Lee asked what she would have done with the money if she successfully had taken home the prize pot.
She confessed: "If I won, I would've got a nose job."
To which Lee Mack replied: "Your nose is fantastic, why do you need to change your nose?" After she admitted to disliking her nose, Lee quipped: "It does look like, though, that if you took those glasses off, the nose might come off as well."
While the live audience roared with laughter at his cheeky banter, at-home fans were quick to express their discontent, taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure at what they deemed an 'insensitive' comment.
Outraged viewers tweeted such remarks as: "F***s sake Lee. She'll definitely have a complex about her nose now ! #The1PercentClub"
Someone else added: "That was quite insensitive." One person wrote: "Did he just say that about her nose?!"
Some hoped for forethought, with tweets reading: "Quite an insensitive comment, wasn't it?" and "Gosh, I hope the lady with the nose cleared it for Lee to take the p*** before the show. That was brutal!"
Notably, Dianne wasn't alone in receiving quips from Mack; Dr Panda, making her introduction earlier in the evening, also faced his sharp wit, reports
While chatting with a paediatrician contestant named Dr Panda, quiz show host Lee was inquisitive about her confidence on the show.
She boasted: "When I was young, I was part of mensa, at the age of 10."
On further probing by Lee about her IQ, she disclosed it was approximately 154.
Furthermore, she remarked: "I did do maths GCSE when I was eight as well, and I got an A."
To which Lee jestingly responded: "Really? Wow, there is a fine line between confident and showing off."
Despite being pegged as a potential winner by the ITV frontman, she was knocked out sooner than expected.
Dominic Jackson emerged as the sole victor in the end, scooping up an astounding £96,000 prize fund.
The 1% Club is available to watch on ITVX.
