In Emmerdale scenes yet to air, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is keen to spend some time with his wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), but she seems distracted, so he takes himself off to the Woolpack. Before long, Ross Barton (Michael Parr) is probing Mackenzie and taunting him over her surrogacy situation, and the Scotsman is forced to admit it's the three-year anniversary of their unborn baby's death.
Mack tells him that Charity has not remembered, and when he's had too much to drink, he raises the issue, leaving her livid. He then confesses he has an issue with the surrogacy and mentions their lost baby's anniversary, as he hoped she'd have remembered.

A furious Charity boots Mack out, fearing for their relationship. However, Mack cannot conceal his pain that she hasn't contacted him after kicking him out of their home. Does this mean their relationship is over for good? Will Charity file for divorce - or can the pair come back from this difficult time?
It's been a messy time for Mack and Charity, with the latter recently leaning in to kiss her ex Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) behind her husband's back.
Earlier this week, it emerged that Charity found 'comfort' in Ross after Vanessa rejected her advances, and he wants to know if her unborn baby could potentially be his, even though Charity said it's from an embryo transfer.
Ross actor Michael said: "I think he's desperate to find out the answer because it comes with such responsibility. Having another child puts a lot of pressure on him because he's not doing so well with work right now, and his living situation isn't ideal, as he's always swapping and changing. Plus, he's just met his brother Lewis. There's a lot going on for him in his head, so he just needs to get to the bottom of this."
Charity star Emma added: "Yeah, there's just so many avenues now of dilemma - she's stuck in this hellhole of what do I do next, and it's cataclysmic holding in that kind of secret.
"Surely at some point she's definitely going to implode. I think the audience enjoys witnessing that, don't they? They like to witness someone holding a secret. Who is she going to tell, who's going to find out, when will Ross cotton on fully? There are all of these things spinning through her mind."
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
