President Donald Trump has hit out at federal agents over what he branded an invasive search of Barron Trump's quarters during the 2022 Mar-a-Lago operation.
During a conversation with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on Monday, when asked about potential future operations following the search of John Bolton's residence, President Trump responded to a journalist's question: "Are more raids like the one on John Bolton's house coming?"
President Trump answered: " I don't know. You'd have to ask the Department of Justice." The news comes hours after it was reported how Trump furiously ejected an Oval Office intruder in a five word explosion caught on camera.
Trump proceeded to recount his own ordeal, stating: "They raided my house, I can tell you that. They did a big raid on my house."
This remark referenced earlier operations linked to an investigation targeting him, which he has persistently branded as unfounded, dubbing it a "witch hunt.", reports the Mirror US.
Trump proceeded to voice his fury, alleging that agents "took away everything that wasn't pinned down, and they took some of that too."
He further stated: "No, they raided Mar-a-Lago. They started that. There were bad people that we had in our government before they raided Mar-a-Lago."
He subsequently accused the operatives of crossing lines, declaring: "They went into my wife's area. They went into my son's area, my young son and what they did was a disgrace."
Trump mockingly wrapped up his remarks about the operation by highlighting his current status: "But how did it work out? Where? Oh, I see, we're in the Oval Office.
"I guess it didn't work out too well for them, did it?" he added. "They are bad people. They're sick. They're sick people and they came in with their guns into Mar-a-Lago and like 98 people."
Trump was fortunate enough not to be present during the incident. He further denounced them as "very evil" and "very sick people."
According to Trump, "if they had won the election, this country wouldn't exist as we know it. This country would have been a failed country."
Trump then boasted that America was now "the hottest country in the world by far."
On Friday, President Trump shared his wife, Melania Trump's reaction when she noticed things were amiss. Trump disclosed this while answering questions about the FBI's raid on former national security adviser John Bolton.
"But my house was raided also - called Mar-a-Lago," Trump said as he addressed the media.
"They went through everything they could including my son's room - and my wife's area - they went through her drawers as the expression goes," he said. "They went through everything you could imagine. And when she came back she said... she's very neat you know, she's meticulous. She looked and she said 'woo'. This isn't the way she had it so you know, it isn't a good feeling, I know the feeling."
The FBI's raid on Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 was linked to an investigation into alleged mishandling of classified documents, which was later dismissed.
