B&M has pulled a popular household item from its shelves over fears it could smash whilst being used. The discount retailer has decided to withdraw its seasonal Harvest Print Glass Mug following safety concerns about its base.
Concerns about the mug, which went on sale on July 21, were raised that the glass could shatter when boiling water is poured into it. It said there is a "potential risk of the base breaking when filled with hot water", with the recall issued as a "precautionary measure". Anyone who has purchased the mug shold return it to a B&M store for a full refund.

The customer advisory states: "As a precautionary measure we are recalling the Harvest Print Glass Mug due to the potential risk of the base breaking when filled with hot water.
"Any customer who has purchased the product is advised to retain the packaging and return the product to a B&M store where you will receive a full refund.
"Please note the product went on sale in stores 21/07/25. If you have any questions, please contact Customer Services 0330 838 9000. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
Under the General Product Safety Regulations, retailers in the UK are legally obliged to recall any items that could be a safety risk.
The regulations means producers and distributors must make sure their products are safe, and take measures to correct risks if they are discovered down the line.
This means they have to stop selling any potentially dangerous products and recalling any that have already been sold.
