India’s second largest automaker Mahindra is making waves in the electric vehicle market with its dynamic duo: the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs. Since deliveries began in March 2025, Mahindra has successfully delivered 10,000 units of these two models — a remarkable achievement in just two months.
Launched officially in November 2024, the BE 6 and XEV 9e saw deliveries start on March 20, 2025. Within 40 days, Mahindra had delivered 6,300 units, and the number quickly surged to 10,000. This success comes at a time when Tata Motors has introduced its Harrier EV, adding fierce competition to the segment.
According to Mahindra, in terms of bookings, 59% of customers chose the flagship XEV 9e, while 41% opted for the BE 6. Most buyers preferred the top-end Pack Three variant, highlighting the demand for premium features.

Both models generate 380 Nm torque and offer multiple driving modes such as Range, Everyday, Race, Snow, and Custom.

The XEV 9e delivers a driving range of 542 km (59 kWh) and 656 km (79 kWh). Its ex-showroom price ranges from ₹22.65 lakh to ₹31.25 lakh.

The BE 6 offers 557 km (59 kWh) and 683 km (79 kWh) range, priced between ₹19.65 lakh and ₹27.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra’s success with these two electric SUVs is a clear sign that the company is gaining ground fast in the EV market, challenging rivals like Tata Motors and reshaping the landscape of electric mobility in India.
