Now there is a big relief news for millions of Indian citizens. Changing the name, address, and number in government identity cards is going to be even easier now. The government is going to launch a new digital service soon, through which people will be able to make changes in documents like PAN, Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport and Driving License at one place.
Under this new facility, the government is preparing to bring a unified digital identity system, for which a special portal is being prepared. This portal is currently in the trial phase and will soon be available to all citizens. Through this portal, it will now be possible to change the name, address, and number in all identity cards simultaneously, and this change will be applicable to all documents simultaneously.
This portal is designed in such a way that the user has to go to just one place to make changes. As soon as you log in to the portal, you will get different options to make changes, like if you want to update the mobile number, then click on that option. After this, changes can be made by uploading the required documents. After this change, this update will be done automatically in all the documents.
This move will save time for citizens and also simplify administrative processes.
