Last year, Tasha Ghouriimpressed the judges with her graceful moves on the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor. And so this may explain why the former contestant has been in talks with BBC bosses and has now been appointed as the spin-off show, It Takes Two's roving reporter.
Her huge new role will expect her to spill the tea about the contestants, their rehearsals and much more. The announcement was made on tonight's episode of It Takes Two.
The BBC show's host Fleur East, who found fame on the X Factor back in 2005, introduced Tasha by saying: "She was the highest scoring contestant on last series and she's back to make her mark. It's Tasha Ghouri."
Fleur then went on to drop the bombshell as she said: "Tasha you'll be joining us as our roving reporter." Unable to hide her excitement, Tasha smiled from ear to ear as she said: "I'm so excited to be part of the team I cannot wait to get all the goss, to get all the behind the scenes."
And in response, Fleur, who cut a demure appearance added: "It's so nice to have you as part of the family." Tasha narrowly missed out on being crowned winner of Strictly last year.
And at the time, she took to social media to speak about her time on the show. She penned: "@bbcstrictly after 13 weeks thank you.. when I say doing this show has just been so magical I can’t even put it into words & surprising me with my brother flying in from Australia!!! This was extra special having him there watching the final, thank you so much @iamtheo for making this happen."
Tasha, who was partnered with Aljaz Skorjanec, continued: "@aljazskorjanec you made magical beautiful dances that’ll be remembered for a long time from our American smooth, waltz, show dance and many more. Everyday we laughed & smiled, you are what strictly is about - your passion and positivity radiates from within on this show."
The TV personality said: " I can’t thank you enough from the bottom of my heart, you made my experience so magical. And we made history!!! What a moment. I have to give a huge shoutout to @arduinobertoncello for our show dance, thank you so much for making the show dance EPIC! you really helped me bring out my inner ginger & doing this style I LOVED IT!!!"
But Natasha's emotional outpouring didn't end there. Tasha then wrote: "To my younger Tasha.. we did it. We lived a dream we dreamt of for a long long time. We never gave up believing and chasing that dream. We danced every week with a smile on our face, we danced with our heart and never gave up. "
"We did have a journey on this show but that’s what made it beautiful. I’m proud of us! I hope this sends a message to you all to keep going, never give up & anything is possible," she added.
She added: "And I have to say @chrismccauslandcomedy you deserve to lift that trophy so much, since day one you have shown you are unstoppable, your partnership with @diannebuswell has just been a joy, Dianne what a woman you are, you both are winners! @jbgill @laurenmayoakley @hadderstime @vitocoppola I’m so proud of you all what an incredible final of people to be a part of."
Tasha then thanked the judges, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman and the show's production team.
