Renowned chef Clare Smyth, who operates the three-Michelin-starred restaurant Core in Kensington Park Road, London, has given her verdict on Meghan Markle's culinary skills. The award-winning chef, who boasts a string of accolades including five AA rosettes and a stint as chef patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, certainly knows her way around a kitchen.
Knowing all about her talents, Prince Harry's wife enlisted Clare for the latest series of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. Clare, who counts the Duke and Duchess of Sussex among her regular guests at Core, and even cooked for their wedding reception, revealed five words that characterise her thoughts on the former actress' culinary proficiency.
Speaking to the Sunday Times, she said Meghan is "actually really good at cooking" and praised her fish filleting skills, adding: "She's pretty good at filleting a fish."

She further complimented the Duchess, stating: "Meghan is actually really good at cooking and she's creative, with a good palate."
In the eagerly awaited second season of the Duchess's lifestyle show, Clare guides Meghanthrough the process of preparing a "very healthy poached halibut with seasonal vegetables and bone broth".
Clare, who said she's been acquainted with the Sussexes for a "long time", said Meghan reached out to her directly to request her appearance on the programme, in a bid to show her the precise points of fine dining.
To prepare for their nutritious meal, Clare and Meghan reportedly visited a fishmarket to select their ingredients, and even made use of some of the Sussexes' home-grown vegetables and herbs.
This comes after recent reports suggested that Harry and Meghan have now renewed their lucrative contractwith the hugely popular streaming platform, in what was dubbed a "multi-year, first look deal".
Under this latest agreement, the Sussexes have been granted what the New York Times characterised as "more options" but "less investment", with Netflixhaving the power to approve or decline any projects before competitors.
While speaking about the new deal, Meghan said they were "proud" to renew their "partnership" with the company and "expand" their output to include her lifestyle brand, As ever.
She continued: "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision."
Scheduled to debut on Netflixon August 26, With Love, Meghan will comprise eight episodes in total (released simultaneously). American audiences can watch the programme at midnight, while British viewers can tune in at 8am.
The show's description reveals that With Love, Meghan will feature "celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends" as they embark on "hands-on adventures" filled with "laughter and discovery".
