Fresh off her dramatic exit, has opened up about the emotional realisation that led her to end her relationship with Australian content creator Kath Ebbs. The 21-year-old singer and former Dance Moms star returned home to Los Angeles last week, following her stint on the reality show.
While the American star made it to the series final, her relationship did not. JoJo has now confirmed that she ended things with Kath, 27, at the show's official wrap party after her perspective on their romance shifted inside the Celebrity house. JoJo revealed the exact moment cracks began to show for her while on The Viall Files podcast with Nick Viall and Natalie Joy
She explained: "I remember looking at my photo, because everyone was looking at theirs — Jack had his partner, Mickey had his dog, Chesney had his family. And I had mine as well, and it was a group photo. I remember thinking: I wasn’t happy that day."

That day in question was at Disney World with her family — a memory that should’ve brought joy. But for JoJo, it stirred up a very different emotion.
She added: "There was no reason I shouldn’t have been happy that day, but I wasn’t. And I remembered exactly why. That moment triggered something in me."
The singer said the realisation struck just a day or two into her time in the CBB house, and it quickly snowballed. She continued: "It opened a cage in a few areas of my life,” she said. “Not just one — a few. And it opened a can of worms."
JoJo admitted she struggled to process it all without being able to confide in anyone, given the cameras were constantly rolling. She thought back to what that was like, sadly admitting: "Whenever I had time to think, I would just sit on the bike. My brain just started to run with so many things I had been okay with, had tolerated, that nobody should."
She later confirmed that her decision was not at all related to fellow housemate Chris Hughes, who many in the split. Kath had liked a comment online suggesting they watched their partner "fall in love with someone else in real time".
But JoJo shut that theory down. "Chris does not have absolutely anything to do with it,” she said firmly. “Chris and I are friends. We have a very great friendship. It’s a very strange, like, ‘you were meant to be in my life’ kind of thing. We have a very special bond."
JoJo also explained that, out of respect for Kath, she’s choosing not to share certain details. "They’ve asked not to be spoken about," she said. "I told them, look, that’s going to make me look like I’m avoidant of the situation — I’m not."
She confirmed that her decision was solidified even further when she saw her partner again after exiting the Big Brother house, carefully saying: "When I saw them again after the show, everything that I had been feeling got validated very quickly."
