A lip-reading expert has shed light on the heated exchange between Donald Trump and Melania Trump that went viral. The remarkable footage, which shows the former US President and First Lady in a tense discussion through the windows of Marine One, was filmed on the South Lawn on Wednesday night.
The video quickly spread across social media, drawing comparisons to the memorable moment when Emmanuel Macron was pushed by Brigitte in May.
During the fiery exchange, Trump is seen gesturing at Melania who responds with a shake of her head. Lip-reading specialist Jeremy Freeman has offered his interpretation of the conversation.

Jeremy believes that Trump was discussing the "escalator-gate" incident at the United Nations General Assembly this week, rather than expressing frustration at something Melania had done.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jeremy suggests Melania said: "You just continued..." to which Trump responded: "It was unbelievable."

Melania then retorted: "Just say it and leave it.." Seemingly taken aback, Trump replied: "How can you do that..." Not long after, the influential couple disembarked from the helicopter and crossed the lawn hand in hand.
Body language expert Judi James supported the view the conversation may not have been as fiery as it seemed.
She told the Mirror: "The body language in this clip shows contrasting signals, but it needs mentioning that Melania is actually smiling as she shakes her head, suggesting Trump might be relating some event from the day using some illustrative gestures and the pointed finger for emphasis and making her laugh in the process."
The escalator incident, where Trump was greeted at the UN General Assembly in Manhattan with a broken escalator, saw him write on Truth Social that it was "amazing that Melania and I didn't fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only that we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster".
Earlier this year, Trump offered advice to the Macrons after footage of them went viral showing Brigitte pushing the French President in the face on board an aircraft.
Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Trump: "There was a video of the First Lady of France slapping her husband, Emmanuel Macron. Do you have any world leader-to-world leader marital advice?"
"Make sure the door remains closed," he answered. "That was not good. I spoke to him. He's fine. They're fine.
"They're two really good people. I know him very well, and I don't know what that was all about. But I know him very well, and they're fine."
