Thane: The Kongaon police have booked two men for allegedly performing black magic using photographs of two women at a crematorium in Kongaon, Bhiwandi.
The incident occurred at the crematorium in Pimplas Gaon, Bhiwandi. The accused have been identified as Kabir Dilip Chaudhary (29) and Nikhil Patil (23), both residents of Pimplas village.
According to the police, the accused allegedly placed lemons and black cloth on photographs of two women with the intention of harming them through black magic rituals. The police said that the video of the black magic has rapidly gone viral on social media.
Senior Police Inspector Netaram Mhaske of Kongaon Police Station said, "Acting on information that two men were performing black magic at the crematorium, villagers rushed to the spot, confronted them, and recorded a video. They then alerted the police patil. Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered, and both accused were arrested. They were produced in court and remanded to police custody for one day."
"We are investigating the motive behind the act and have traced the women in the photographs. Their statements have been recorded," Mhaske added.
