'Sonu Becomes Soniya': Man Undergoes Sex Change To Marry His Gay Lover In UP's Kushinagar

Kushinagar: 'Love has no limits' and it has been proved once again, this time by a UP couple. Two men who were in love with each other tied knots in Kushinagar, UP. Owing to the limitations of the same-sex marriage law in India, one of the guys swapped his gender and became a woman to marry his lover.

This incident has come to light from Sitalpur, Nebua Naurangia, where two boys named Prem and Sonu were in a long-term relationship with each other. Sonu opted to change his gender to female to marry Prem and became Soniya. In the viral video, the couple can be seen performing wedding ceremonies.

The viral video is posted on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, by @statemirrornews.

Same Sex Marriage Not Legal In India:

In India, same-sex marriage is currently not legally recognized.
