Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated development projects worth ₹97.07 crore in Seoni-Malwa and laid foundation stone for projects worth ₹102.94 Crore, on Thursday.
He said that Narmadapuram district has fertile and rich land and is ideal for agriculture-based industries.
Speaking at an event in Seoni Malwa, the CM highlighted the government’s commitment to the district’s growth. He announced the inauguration of as many as 31 development projects worth ₹200 crore.
The CM announced that a sports stadium will be built in Seoni Malwa. Highlighting the region's potential,Yadav mentioned that a Regional Industry Conclave had already been organised to encourage investment.
“Narmadapuram will soon become an industrially developed district,” he said.
CM Yadav praised the Indian Army’s bravery during ‘Operation Sindoor’ and emphasized India's cultural philosophy of “live and let live,” calling the earth a shared home for all.
Key government initiatives:
At the event, the Chief Minister shared key government initiatives - Farmers were paid ₹2600 per quintal for wheat, solar pumps will be provided at 90% subsidy, giving free electricity to farmers and enabling the government to buy back surplus power from them. Also, a new scheme will support farmers who buy 200 Gir cows, with 25% subsidy and guaranteed milk procurement.
He also announced a major farmers’ and industry fair to be held in Narsinghpur on May 26, with advanced agricultural equipment on display. Similar events will be organized in Rewa, Satna, and Chambal. Irrigation capacity has expanded from 7 lakh to 55 lakh hectares, and will soon reach 100 lakh hectares.
Education and employment
Regarding education and employment, the CM said that this year’s board exam results for classes 10 and 12 were the best in the last 15 years. Additionally, 1 lakh employees will be recruited in government jobs and 2.5 lakh more in the next five years.
Health sector
For transport and healthcare, the CM said that state transport buses will soon connect rural areas. ₹25k will be awarded to people who help road accident victims reach hospitals. Air ambulance service has been started for poor patients with Ayushman cards.
Chitrakoot to be developed as Ayodhya
He also spoke about plans to develop Chitrakoot as grandly as Ayodhya, with pilgrimage sites built along the paths walked by Lord Ram.
During the event, certificates and equipment were distributed to beneficiaries of various schemes.
Also present were PWD Minister and district in-charge Rakesh Singh, former Speaker Dr. Sitasharan Sharma, MP Darshan Singh Choudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Maya Narolia, and several MLAs and dignitaries, including a large number of women.
