Bagh (Madhya Pradesh): Bagh is facing a serious problem with encroachment, affecting not just main roads but also narrow lanes and alleys. Shopkeepers have taken over public spaces and the situation has become chaotic.
Despite ongoing issues, those responsible for maintaining order seem to be silent. The encroachment has worsened to a point where traffic flow has been severely disrupted. Previously, drivers could navigate through lanes to avoid congestion on the main road, but now even those routes are blocked by shops extending onto the streets. In areas like Bad Wali Gali and Gawalipura, shops have crowded roads, making it difficult for pedestrians and vehicles to pass.
The narrow Mahakaleshwar Marg Gaadi Gali has also been affected, with shops on both sides making it nearly impossible for people to walk through. The situation calls for immediate action from authorities to enforce regulations and ensure that shopkeepers operate within designated limits.
Residents are frustrated, yet no one seems to raise their voice. Public representatives, who often promise development during elections, appear to ignore ongoing encroachment issues once they are in office. Recently, Kukshi SDM Vishal Dhakad inspected the main road and expressed his displeasure over the encroachment. He instructed local leaders to issue notices to offending shopkeepers. However, it remains unclear if any action has been taken since.
