Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Shri Maharshi Gautam Educational & Charitable Trust and Shri Gurjar Gaur Brahmin Sabha Indore jointly inaugurated their six-day “Sanskar Shala” at Anand Mohan Mathur Auditorium, Press Club.
The online sessions run till May 24, 7–9 pm and feature participants from 23 districts across India, with over 150 registrations.
Senior social worker and former collector Krishna Mohan Gautam graced the occasion as chief guest, while Dr Vinayak Pandey, principal of the Government Sanskrit College, attended as special guest.
The ceremony was chaired by Sabha president Virendra Vyas and trust chairman Jagdish Upadhyay, with coordinators Pandit Someshwar Joshi and Pandit Jagdish Joshi also present.
After invocation, lamp lighting and welcoming addresses, Pandit Dr Someshwar Joshi outlined the programme’s theme—“Atishayavishesh: the cultivation of supreme virtues”—and explained Maharshi Gautam’s eight-to-forty-eight sanskar framework.
Over six competitions—speech, shloka recitation, religious quiz, bhajan singing and painting—more than 200 entries will be judged in two age categories. Tokens of appreciation were presented to dignitaries and health literature was gifted by Press Club president Arvind Tiwari and social leader Satyanarayan Sharma.
In their addresses, Dr Pandey and Gautam stressed the vital role of cultural values and parental guidance in strengthening India’s heritage and future citizens. The event concluded with the national anthem.
