Indore Employment Fair On May 9; 10K Jobs Up For Grabs

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a major step towards empowering the youth, the city will host the Mayor Mega Employment Fair on May 9 promising to offer more than jobs to over 10,000 young aspirants in reputed private sector companies.

Extensive preparations for the fair are already underway. A high-level meeting to review the arrangements was held on Monday at the City Bus office which was chaired by mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav and collector Asheesh Singh. Municipal commissioner Shivam Verma, along with representatives from educational and voluntary organisations, also attended the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhargav said, "Providing employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth as per their qualifications is our top priority. Efforts are being made to benefit the maximum number of youth through this mega job fair."

“The is dedicated to providing employment and self-employment opportunities, promoting skill development and empowering the youth through specialized career guidance and free skill-building sessions,” he added.

The collector directed the officials to ensure smooth arrangements for registration, interviews, security, medical facilities and traffic management, stressing that the participating youth should not face any inconvenience.

With the initiative gaining momentum, the city administration expects a massive turnout and hopes the event will significantly contribute to reducing unemployment among the youth of Indore.

Key highlights of fair

• Over 100 companies including Paytm, Taurus Private, Airtel, Zomato, Sony India, Dr Reddy's Group and Patel Motors will participate as recruiters in the fair.

• Opportunities will be available across diverse sectors such as IT, retail, e-commerce, BPO, consultancy, pharma, fintech, sales, marketing and accounting and finance.

• Free career counselling and skill development sessions will be organised, covering CV writing, interview techniques, and career planning, led by industry experts.

Registration Details

Candidates must register online via a Google Form or QR Code. Upon registration, they will receive a receipt number, an e-card and a pass. Registration is free of charge.

• Passport size photograph

• Valid ID proof (Aadhar card/PAN card, etc.)

• Educational qualification certificates (10th, 12th, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation)

• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30–35 years (as per company norms)
