Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has informed residents that water supply pressure will be reduced due to a leak in the STEM water pipeline. Repair work is currently underway. According to TMC officials, water supply will be at low pressure on Friday (April 18) and Saturday (April 19), and resolving the issue may take some time.
An official stated that the leak in the STEM water pipeline was detected on April 18 at 12:30 PM, and repair work was initiated on a priority basis. Water supply through the STEM line has been temporarily halted to facilitate repairs.
TMC officials added that after the pipeline is repaired, water pressure will remain low in certain areas, including Mumbra, Retibundar, parts of Kalwa, Kharegaon, Saket, Rabodi, Uthalsar, Khopat, Ghodbunder Road, Gandhinagar, Pokhran Road No. 1 and 2, Indiranagar, Charai, Siddheshwar, Bhaskar Colony, and Ghantali.
Vinod Pawar, an engineer from the Water Supply Department of TMC, urged residents to store sufficient water for essential use during the repair period.
