From the roaring arenas of WWE to the serene courtyards of Vrindavan — Rinku Singh’s journey feels straight out of a film. Once a global sportsman who stood in the ring with giants like John Cena and The Great Khali, the former WWE star is now making headlines for an entirely different reason. A new viral video shows him not in a wrestling outfit, but in monk robes, sweeping the floors of Premanand Ji Maharaj’s ashram with quiet devotion.

Premanand Ji Maharaj’s teachings have touched millions, but this particular moment stunned the internet. In the video, Rinku Singh — a man once celebrated for his strength and fame — is seen performing humble seva at the ashram in Vrindavan. The sight of a global athlete trading spotlight for spirituality struck a chord with viewers, sparking conversations about transformation, inner peace, and purpose.

The video beautifully captures Rinku in simple monk attire, a tilak on his forehead, sweeping the ashram grounds with calm focus. Then it rewinds to his past — the roaring stadiums, the bright lights, and the adrenaline of wrestling matches where he took on icons like John Cena and The Great Khali. The caption reads, “Baseball, WWE to Vrindavan — Rinku Singh’s Spiritual Turn.” In each frame, you can almost sense the shift — from the thrill of fame to the quiet of surrender.

But the most moving part of the video isn’t his transformation montage. It’s a heartfelt exchange with Premanand Maharaj himself. In the video, Premanand Maharaj tells Rinku that if he feels ready and worthy of the world, he should come forward. Rinku responds with a gentle smile, folding his hands, and says he has started to feel it.

Who is Rinku Singh?
Rinku Singh Rajput is an Indian former professional wrestler and baseball player whose story reads like a mix of sports drama and spiritual odyssey. Best known for his WWE stint under the ring names Rinku and Veer Mahaan (or simply Veer), Singh’s path to global fame began far from any stadium.

Born in Gopiganj, Bhadohi, the son of a truck driver, Rinku grew up in a one-room house with eight siblings. The family had electricity but relied on well water, and Rinku’s early years were spent playing cricket and throwing javelins. A natural athlete, he became a junior national javelin medalist and later studied at Guru Gobind Singh Sports College in Lucknow.

His big break came in 2008 when he won The Million Dollar Arm, a reality TV pitching contest that led to his signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates organisation in the US. Rinku became the first Indian to play professional baseball, spending several seasons in the minor leagues and reaching the Single-A level. His inspiring journey was even turned into a Hollywood film, Million Dollar Arm.

After retiring from baseball, Rinku’s athletic spirit found a new home in the WWE, where he signed a contract in January 2018. His character, Veer Mahaan, stood out for his fierce persona and powerful presence in the ring.
