Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], May 5 (ANI): Five people of a family were trapped inside a six-storey building in Kanpur's Chaman Ganj area where a massive fire broke out on Sunday.
Kanpur Mayor Pramila Pandey said that efforts were being carried out to douse the fire.
"Fire broke out in the shoe factory...Five people of a family are trapped inside...Efforts to douse the fire are underway..." Kanpur Mayor told ANI.
Firefighters are at the spot, and dousing operations are underway.
"Fire broke out in a six-storey building, which is a leather factory...Efforts to douse the fire are underway..." said Chief Fire Officer Deepak Sharma.
