Ministry of Earth Sciences Recruitment 2025: If you dream of working in new places and taking your career to a different height with an exciting experience, then this news is no less than a golden opportunity for you. The National Center for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) under the Ministry of Earth Sciences has released a notification for recruitment to various technical and support staff posts for Antarctica.
This is not a common recruitment, but a special opportunity to work in Antarctica for 6 to 18 months, where you will get a chance to be a part of research support in the coldest corner of nature. The selected candidates will be posted at Indian research stations in Antarctica.

Vehicle Mechanic (4 posts)
Generator Mechanic (1 post)
Cook/Chef (5 posts)
Male Nurse, Welder, Carpenter, Radio Operator, Store Assistant, etc.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates holding 10th, 12th, or ITI Diploma can apply for these posts. However, different experience is required for each post, the detailed information of which is available in the notification given on ncpor.res.in.
This is how you will get salary
Those going to Antarctica for the first time will get Rs 58,981 per month, while those who already have experience will get Rs 78,642 per month. Apart from this, an additional allowance of Rs 1500/day in summer and Rs 2000/day in winter will also be given. Facilities like free boarding, lodging etc. will be provided.
This is how the selection will be done
There will be no written examination for recruitment. Selection will be done through direct interview. Candidates will have to fill the AL-2010 form and reach for the interview on the scheduled date with all the necessary documents.
When will the interview be held
The interview for recruitment to these posts will be held between 6 to 9 May 2025. The interview will be held at Reception Counter, Prithvi Bhawan, IMD Campus, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110003. Reporting time is from 9 am to 11 am.
