Chelsea may have been presented a clear pathway to signing Victor Osimhen, thanks to a potential double deal from Liverpool.
The Blues may be in the middle of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign, but that is not stopping rumours of potential new signings.
While Enzo Maresca and Co. are in the United States, work will be underway behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge to build the squad to challenge for major honours next term.

Part of the squad building will be to bring in a new striker to Chelsea. Liam Delap has already been signed by the Blues in a £30million deal with Ipswich Town, but another centre forward could be of interest to Chelsea as the summer transfer window rolls on.
Osimhen has been heavily linked with signing for Chelsea over the last 12 months. It was last summer that the Nigeria international's future dominated headlines before he went on to join Galatasaray on loan.
Now, in the summer of 2025,Chelsea could have renewed hope in their chances of signing Osimhen - thanks toLiverpool.
Napoli have been widely reported to be willing to let Osimhen leave on a permanent deal this summer.
However, various reports are seemingly claiming that the reigning Serie A champions are looking to strengthen their forward options first, having already let Khvicha Kvaratskhelia join Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Liverpool duo Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa have both been heavily linked with joining Napoli this summer.
Chiesa could serve as a Kvaratskhelia replacement, while Nunez could be signed to start as their new centre forward, which would allow Osimhen to leave the club on a permanent basis.
Should this double deal for the Liverpool duo be completed, it could give Chelsea the opportunity to swoop in and sign Osimhen at long last.
All ifs and buts at this point, of course, but it's likely to dominate the rumour mill until there is more clarity on where Osimhen will be playing his football next term.
